Alex D. Abate
Alex D. Abate was the first associate of the law firm Sutter & Ori in 2005, and became a non-equity partner in 2011. Mr. Abate has been recognized by his peers as a Rising Star by the Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine three times (2011-13). No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state achieve this honor each year. The selections for Rising Stars are made by the research team of the Thompson Reuters, Legal Division. Each year the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, and a good-standing and disciplinary check. In 2012 Mr. Abate was one of only 40 attorneys in Illinois selected into membership of the National Trial Lawyers top 40 under 40.
Certainly these prestigious honors come with Alex having been an integral part and lead attorney on numerous cases that have resulted in six and seven figure awards for our clients. Alex has vast experience handling complex injury cases and has tried numerous cases to successful verdict in both Illinois trial courts and the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission on behalf of injured workers. Alex has also successfully argued before the Illinois Appellate Court and Illinois Worker’s Compensation review board.
